In episode twenty-four of Food for Talk, host Howard Dorman, Mazars Food and Beverage Practice Leader, talks with Clay Dockery, Chairman of the Board of the Private Label Manufacturers Association. The PLMA is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the private label. Clay is also the Division VP of Corporate Brands at Massimo Zenetti Beverage. Clay began his background in food and beverage brands at Proctor & Gamble after graduating from the University of Mississippi. As he started working in the pasta industry and sold branded and private branded products, he saw the evolution of the private label and honed in on that sector. With his many years of experience in the private label industry, most previously with the Kerry Group and Massimo Zenetti, he has earned his title of Chairman of the Board of the PLMA. In this episode, Clay and Howard talk about the private label industry and its continuous growth.

The PLMA is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1979 to promote the private label. They represent around 4,500 members globally, ranging from small family-owned companies to multi-national corporations. Their products include food, beverage, snacks, health and beauty, household and kitchen, and personal and leisure products. They provide two trade shows a year: one in Chicago, IL and one in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
